Project Brief

After being purchased by an international construction firm in 2018, BFL Construction was in need of an updated design for their website.

Style Tiles

In order to determine a design direction, I created 3 different style tiles that allowed the client to envision different aesthetics for the new website. Each tile featured a different color palette, typography, and creative design elements including photo treatments or button styles.

Homepage Design

The homepage uses a lighter overall aesthetic, reserving the more saturated colors from the palette for buttons and headlines.

The Adobe XD prototype featured interactive elements such as a dynamic navbar and project hovers. Animated features were included in the prototype for developers to reference while building the custom website in WordPress.

Scroll through the prototype below and explore its interactive elements.

Full Site Design

The site design used a flexible 12-column grid in order to consistently arrange content and the new larger photos.

Pages In Context

The final design of the website resulted in a more interactive and modern aesthetic. An updated project gallery allowed visitors and potential BFL clients to easily explore their services and capabilities.
